While dentistry has provided a means to provide for my family, it has been satisfying to help people with their dental health. I appreciate being able to alleviate dental discomfort, improve self-esteem, and achieve and maintain general oral health for my patients.
During my time in practice I have met, cared for, and developed relationships with many individuals. I enjoy hearing about each person’s experiences, sharing in their accomplishments and challenges, and learning about their life. Providing dental care for people who have become part of my extended family keeps me engaged and excited to come to the office.
Education and Experience
I have had the honor of practicing dentistry since 1984. Being the son of a dentist made my career choice an easy one.
- Bachelor of Science, University of California at Irvine 1979
- Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD), Washington University School of Dental Medicine 1984
One of the most exciting aspects of my career is the fact that dentistry is constantly changing in order to provide better care for patients. I appreciate improving the patient experience: from diagnostics through treatment planning, utilizing advanced materials and techniques during the procedure, ensuring patient comfort, and delivering exceptional results.

Beyond the Office
Born in Hawaii, I spent my early years in Los Angeles, then attended high school and college in Orange County. I have lived in Huntington Beach, which has been home for me on and off since I was a teen.
Family is my greatest joy and priority. My wife’s name is Wenda and I have three remarkable daughters – Loryn, Marissa, and Alex – along with three amazing grandchildren. In my spare time I enjoy traveling with friends, day hiking, and being with our grandchildren.
